  Hey There!
If you are reading this, I commend you for reading/checking out my stories :) But First, let me introduce you to myself. My name is Farvin and I am currently 16 (shocker, right?) Although it MAY say that I'm new to Deviant Art, I am NOT new to writing! I currently have an active Wattpad account where I write about different topics and weave it into a tapestry that is fictional writing!
Now before you start this story,  I want to tell you that it may be a little different from other Dragon TF stories, as there is a moral in this :)
Now, enjoy the story, and keep reading and writing to your hearts desire!

                             - Farvin P.
-----------------------------------------------II----------------------------------------------
When you think about home, what do you picture? Most people picture a standard McMansion with furniture, a TV and the occasional game console. Home, in most eyes, is a house. For me, home is finding belonging at where you feel you fit most. I found that home, just, not as simple as you would imagine.

It all started on a warm September morning in 2015. People did everyday things. Adults were biking and chatting with neighbors about the latest politic scoop. The kids were playing with other kids on the front yard across the street. From the looks of it, they were playing sharks and minnows. The elderly were chaperoning the kids playing and talking about whatever was interesting to bring up.

And I? Well, I was playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive with a bunch of people I didn't know. From the looks of it, they were all noobs.

"Froto232! Stop shooting us! We're on your team!" I exclaimed in the chat.
"Sorry didn't know" he responded, followed by an "xD"
"ChiaSeedLuver! What are you doing" I asked another player.
"Shooting at the other team!" he responded iin the chat.
      "That's a barrel!" I exclaimed back.
      "Oh, my bad :("
"Froto! why are you still shooting at us?!" I exclaimed again.
"I know you are on my team, I just like being an ass xD" Froto replied in the chat.
"Farvin! Breakfast!" My mother shouted from downstairs.
"Coming!" I shouted back, removing my headset. I typed back in the chat, "K guys, I have teh go. Peace :)"

Then I disconnected from the lobby and closed the game, upon doing so, I saw that Skype had a new notification for me. It had to wait though, because I could smell the scent of pancakes trying to lure me away from the computer. I finally gave in and ran out of my room and down the stairs where a heavenly breakfast awaited my arrival.

Sitting down at the dining table, I saw my dad was reading the days newspaper, obviously engrossed by what he was currently reading.

"Hi dad!" I said happily to him.
"Heh Farv, playing video games up there? Cause I could hear you type on that keyboard from a mile away!" My dad exclaimed with an annoyed tone to his voice.

I chuckled, "Don't worry, I'll be mindful of how I type next time, as long as I don't have any more friendly fire incidents!"

He smirked at the remark, then went back to reading his newspaper. Meanwhile, I could smell the scent of pancakes getting stronger every minute. It was irresistible! Finally, when I could bare no more, my mom came out of the kitchen with three plates on a tray. She set them on the table then spoke to me,

"Did you see your sister yet at all?'
"Nope! Not a clue!" I smiled and chuckled lightly.
"Jenny! Breakfast!" Mom shouted up the stairs.

I could hear the bedroom door open and tiny feet could be heard running down the hall and down the stairs.
"Oooh! Pancakes! she said with delight.
She jumped into her seat, briefly shaking the table, then said, "Let's Eat!"

I saw with my very own eyes as she took on 4 full pancakes in one sitting! For 7 years old, she was an eating machine! The rest of us just followed her lead and chowed down on the pancakes without a single hint of mercy until all the plates were spot clean, as if they just came out of the dishwasher.  After the massacre that had taken place, I said to the rest of the family,

"Well, I gotta go, someone is chatting me on Skype!" I got up from my chair and started walking towards the staircase.
"Have Fun!" Answered my mom. Dad just nodded in agreement, still reading the newspaper.

Running up the stairs, I raced back to my room and shut the door behind me, making sure dad couldn't hear my obnoxious typing. Walking over to my computer, I opened the Skype tab so it wasfully maximized on my monitor. Checking to see what all the hype was about, I looked at my inbox and saw that my girlfriend and best friend have both chatted me. I couldn't keep them waiting, so I invited them both to a group chat: "The Chat of all Chats" as creatively named. And instantly started typing, mindful on how hard I hit the keys.

"Whats up bro's and gals? :)" I asked in the chat.
"Same-old, same-old xD" My girlfriend, Sarah typed back.
"Sup Monkey-Breath ;)" Reggie, my best friend, responded.
"Also, nothing new really' he added
"Wanna go for a walk in the forest soon? Just meet up and talk about life?" I                            suggested, since I WAS going to play CSGO all day right?

      "How about 10:30?" Sarah asked.
      "10:30 is plausible." Reggie replied.

I looked back at the clock, it read 10:07, which left minutes for me to prepare. After all, we're not neighbors!
"OK, sound good. I was going to do nothing all day anyway xD" I answered.
"Cya then mate!" Reggie exclaimed, then went offline.
"Ya, can't wait!" Sarah added, then too went offline.

Putting my computer to sleep, I ran over to my closet and looked at my wardrobe. I had huge variety of Dragon sweaters and T-shirts to choose from, which to be honest, were not cheap! Ever since I knew about them, which was about the tender age of 9, I immediately knew I found a passion to be engrossed on. To this day, I am a dragon fanatic and believer. Believing one day I would see one in person. Picking a dragon sweatshirt that had a dragon that said "Eat Me." I quickly put it on and closed my closet door.
I grabbed my book bag just in case we go "bored" in our nature walk. It included several pencils and notebooks and a few books in case we got bored of  THAT too. Which was highly unlikely, cause we were all writers through and through!
Taking a quick glance at the clock one more time, it read 10:10. Which was more than enough time to get to Sarah's house, which was our normal meeting place. Closing the door behind me, I moved swiftly down the stairs, dropping down two at a time but at the same time trying to keep my balance.

"Mom! I'm going over to Sarah's!" I shouted to my mom in the kitchen as I made it to the ground floor.
"Have fun! Don't forget to take your phone too!"

Face-palm moment! Almost forgot! I walked over to the living room and grabbed my phone off the charging dock in one fluid motion. Stuffing it back into my packet without checking the notifications, I walked over to the front door and opened the door.
"Bye Mom! See you soon!" I shouted.
"Bye Farv!"

Stepping outside, I felt the warm moist air hit my face like a tidal wave of welcome. It felt great being outside and not hunched over my desk like a hideous troll. I closed the door behind me and proceeded onwards to Sarah's house. The walk wasn't new to me, in fact it was quite a weekly occurrence. I do this every. week now that me Sarah and Reggie are almost like family. I don't know what we'd do without each other, it was a pretty sad thought, but it was a possibility. As I passed by other houses, I saw many kids playing in the pool and doing other water themed games. I knew that they knew their summer days were coming to an end and had to make the most out of it, which brought quite aa gloom on this summer, it had gone by so fast and school was only a couple days away. I wished that there could be more time for redemption.
Sarah's house came into view and my bag of books turned into a bag of bricks as walking started becoming a chore. Luckily, I made it in one piece and stepped onto Sarah's front porch. I rang the doorbell, and just like that,,the door opened revealing Sarah right behind it. Her chestnut brown hair spilled over her shoulders as if her hair was a fountain of beauty.  She looked at me with her hazel eyes and smiled. She was truly a gorgeous woman. i could not be more grateful for having her as a friend, let alone a girlfriend.

"Oh, Hey Farvin!" she excitedly exclaimed.
"So, ready to go? Reggie and I have been waiting for 10 minutes!" she asked.

Damn! Was I really that slow to get here? Checking my phone, the time read 10:41. Wow, I really WAS that slow!

"Sorry, Sarah. And ya, I'm about ready!" I replied with amusement in my voice.
She chuckled a bit and motioned for Reggie to come to the door. I saw his head pop out from beside Sarah, his jet black hair falling in strands across his face. Removing the hair from his face, he smiled at me and said,

"Alrighty, monkey breath seem A-OK. Let's go!"

After having a quick laugh, we all moved around to the back of the house to Sarah's backyard, which was actually a forest we called "Whispering Woods" It was a name we though up in middle school, and would be our secret place to hang out.
Stepping on leaves, twigs, branches, and any other things littered on the ground, we walked through the forest. It was quiet that day, as all birds have migrated already.  They were the only source of sound in Whispering Woods. While we walked, we talked about our upcoming school year.  We were going to be Juniors that coming year, and were not thrilled about the upcoming college exams. It was going to be a chaotic year, and we knew it.

While were walking, Reggie turned his head to the left, and exclaimed,
      "Hey Guys! Lookey there yonder!"
He obviously was making a bad impersonation of Jem Finch.

I looked to where he was pointing, and saw a cave in the side of the hill we never saw before. Funny,  because we always went on that hill to read and chill out, and never noticed a cave before.
"Maybe it just recently opened, after all, we DID have a big thunderstorm." Sarah suggested.
"Ya, that's gotta be the reason." I replied.
"Let's check it out slow pokes!" Reggie teased, then ran towards the mouth of the cave.

We caught up with him and stood at the foot of the cave. We looked down at the long passage and I saw a shining object at the end of the tunnel.

"Guys! I think I see something!" I exclaimed, then ran down the tunnel of darkness, not waiting for them.
"Farvin! Wait Up!" Sarah shouted. I could then hear footsteps echoing behind me as I ran.

Reaching the end of the tunnel, I stopped in  front of the shiny object, and waited for my friends to catch up.  They eventually did, and stationed themselves on either side of me.  All of us were staring at the unknown object.

"What do you suppose it is?" Sarah asked.

I bent down and attempted to pick it up when Reggie pulled on my arm.

"Be careful man, I don't want you to get hurt."
       "Don't worry, I got dis." I responded.

Proceeding, I picked up the object, from the looks of it, it looked like a necklace and felt cold to the touch. Pulling out my cell phone, I turned on my flashlight and shone it on the necklace.

      "Siiick" Reggie said in awe.

Indeed, the emblem on the necklace was a face of a dragon in all its glory with the engravings "In omnes domi" on it. Having no idea what that meant, i continued inspecting the necklace. Aside from the dragon on the front, the actual chain looked like it was made from actual chain mail and felt cold to the touch. This was nothing from our time, and the curiosity got the best of me.

"Umm, guys? I need to research what this is and there's no cell reception here. I'll be outside." I told them.
"OK, but be careful, and don't be long." Sarah responded, then pecked me on the cheek.
"I will, don't worry." I replied, then ran towards the entrance of the cave.

Stepping outside, I was finally able to get some cell reception and climbed up the top of the hill to get a better signal. Taking a picture of the necklace to search the image online, the dragon's eyes on the necklace started glowing red. The necklace started becoming warmer and warmer in my palm.

      "Ouch! What the hell?"

I set my phone on the ground and started inspecting the necklace to see if it was my imagination. The necklace started becoming hard to hold, as it felt like it was going to burst. Before I could throw the necklace on the ground, it burst. But oddly enough, it seemed like it was made of nothing at all. It burst, and all that came out was a bright green mist. Freaked out, I tried to get off the hill as fast as possible. That was when my hand started burning like crazy. I stopped in my tracks, annoyed by the burning sensation and looked down at my hand.

      I wish I hadn't.

I watched as my entire hand was being engulfed in black scales.

"What the F*ck?!" I shouted out loud.
"Farvin?! Are you OK?" Sarah shouted from deep within the cave.

"I'm Fine!" I shouted back, trying to sound as calm as possible. But internally, I was flipping out. I saw with my very own eyes as my ring and pinky finger fused together to make one while I felt a severe stabbing sensation on my fingertips. Ignoring that, my other hand went through the same transformation and the scales from both hands slowly made it up my arms. Bringing agonizing pain with it. I couldn't help it anymore, and I screamed. The pain was so unbearable I couldn't even stand upright anymore.

"Farvin! Stay right there! We're coming out!" Reggie shouted from deep within the cave.

"Noo!" I thought to myself, but I couldn't stop them. I collapsed on the ground, the scales now at my chest and spreading every which way possible. I felt myself getting bigger every second as muscles began to ripple through my body. In the stress, my shoes gave out and revealed a scaly clawed foot, also getting bigger by the second. I felt much stronger than I was before as the adrenaline started kicking in. It felt as if I could crush a car, but that probably wasn't wise yet.

Bones started to make sickening cracks as they began to reshape, accommodating my new and growing form. My clothes also began to tear at the seems, revealing blue scales beneath as I felt my tailbone growing outwards at an alarming rate. Seconds later, a sickening rip through my pants revealed a scaly tail, colored blue. The pain was becoming too much where I couldn't even hold myself anymore, and I collapsed face first on the dirt, panting like I just ran the mile in gym. My pants gave out, unable to contain my growing body anymore as I approached the worst part in this transformation.

Footsteps could be heard jogging down the tunnel, my friends were getting closer.

      "SHIT!" I thought to myself.

The scales now covered my entire body and I was growing a mile a minute (not literally) Then came the most unpleasant part of this whole experience.
My neck started elongating upwards and it felt as if my head was being ripped away from my body, and I could feel sharp objects start to peak through my head as I became dizzier and dizzier. I was on the verge of passing out at the moment, for the pain was overwhelming. But I still held on.

I could feel growing pressure on my back as my face snapped and cracked as it stretched outwards to form a muzzle. At least now I was unrecognizable.

My sweatshirt was next to give out, unable to support my growing size anymore. There goes 20 dollars down the drain. The pressure on my back was getting more immense by the second, and when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it did.
I screamed and at the same time, roared very loudly as a third pair of arms sprouted out my back. A think leathery membrane started filling in the empty gaps. Then it dawned on me, WINGS! They were colored a dark shade of blue, like everything else in my body. Moving them amidst the growing pain everywhere else, I was shocked that I could even control them.

"What the F*CK was that?" I heard Sarah shout not very far away.

My eyes started stinging like hell and was forced to close them as my organs began to shift around like a game of musical chairs. Grateful of the pain lessening a bit, I tried to hold myself up. Big mistake! It was then I could feel rugged objects, most likely spikes, emerge through the scales all throughout my body. My hair started to fall off as I started to slip into unconsciousness. Engulfed in pain and no longer able to move, I blacked out.

It was a relief to be rid of the pain for once.

                                                          .   .   .

I woke up a short time after to hear screams coming from a woman nearby. Terrified screams.

"Shit, not the cops already." I thought to myself, still in aching pain. Voices could still be heard behind me.
"Reggie! What the hell is that thing?"
"I don't know, but it must have eaten Farvin, look at the clothes scattered here!"
"Oh my god... Should we call the cops?"
"No, we don't know if Farvin just ran off when he saw the monster.  We wait for him to come back."
"Didn't you say he just got eaten?"

Although I was in overwhelming pain, I forced myself to speak, it was painful, but it worked.

"Look, your long search is over." I groaned.
"Holy Shit! Did that thing just speak?!" The woman shouted.
"For your information, I'd like to be referred to my name please." I said in a weak voice, trying to turn over.
"Fine!" Reggie shouted. "What is your name?"

"My name..." I paused, chuckled, then said,
         "is Farvin."

Nice work! Am glad that he seems to have kept his mind after being draggified.
